Default Deep Cycle Batteries

My trolling motor batteries only last about 2 1/2 hours at tops, I have
a 24 volt system, how long should I be able to troll at low- med. speed?
with a 65 lbs. thrust motor. Do you think I should get bigger batteries,
mine are small everstarts.

Oh man, you should be getting a LOT more time from your batteries with a 24
volt system! I had a 24 volt, 65 lb. thrust MinnKota trolling motor and
used it for four days on a trip in Canada without charging it. It was
fairly weak by the end of four days, but it was still usable.

I'm running Group 31 batteries and I've never had a day when I've run out of
battery before I ran out energy to fish.....

Everstart makes a decent battery, but they have to be sized for the job.
