I second this method. I am sure you can order some pens from the
internet. Let the students sign their rods near the cork and then
varnish over it (ala custom made rods). The same with the reels - I'd
use the reel seat - and fly boxes. Or, if you have access to a Dremil
tool, engrave their names on the reel seat and boxes.

Hey, just think. If one of these kids turns out to be the next Lee
Wulff, you could have a priceless treasure some day. d;o)
