I'm guessing that the previous responses are correct. If you do your own
dyeing, try using human hair dye. You can get the cheapest,like Lady
Clarol, at a beauticians supply store. Get the kit or just the dye plus
20% developer and use just enough to rub into the material. Allow to
set, rinse thoroughly and air dry. You'll get a deep black without
damaging or thinniing the material.
