FWIW ( probably not much ) I am a dog trainer, a profession that tends to
highly respect artful use of profanity. I can put together some pretty
impressive strings of it, if I do say so myself.

I don't think such language should be entirely avoided, rather I think
it's real value is undermined by it's overuse .... much like the use of
single word insults, any real impact lies in the rarity of usage, not in
the predictability.

You say "tomato," I say "potato."
