He was more than a little crazy. He always had his eye on a dollar as
well, a real shyster. He got up to quite a few nasty tricks. His
propaganda was brilliant though. Gink is probably still one of the
most popular floatants on the market. I donīt hear much about his
other stuff, but I assume the family are still marketing it. He was
obviously quite ill towards the end, and that made him even worse. For
quite a long time various people tried to help him, but it did no good
really.
His web site still exists;
http://www.gink.com/ and his company
still appears to be trading.
some other interesting stuff as well;

Maybe thatīs whatīs wrong with Kennyboy to an extent as well. If he is
ill as he says he is, then the looming realisation of his own
mortality probably makes him even more obnoxious than usual. Possibly
the same with LaCourse. I really donīt know, just speculating.
Looking back through some of these old posts is interesting. Rather
sad to see all the many many names of people who simply stopped
contributing. Some are doubtless now deceased. The camaraderie has
totally disappeared.
There have also been many "Pleas for sanity" over the years. It never
materialised, and I donīt suppose it ever will. I rather fear that Mr.
Siebeneich is right, and there is nothing one can do. My "tactics" don
īt really seem to be working either, and they take up a lot of time.
For the couple of newbies I might reach here, it is not really worth
the effort, quite apart from the flak involved.
Things have changed here very considerably over time. There is a great
deal of rancour among some of the old guard, and it can never be wiped
away really. The best one could hope for would probably be an uneasy
truce, and even that is probably not possible with a few people. The
attrition will continue, not just as a result of crap on here, but
because of better info and less problems at other places.
ROFF is really an anachronism now, but it was once the only show in
town for many, and it was good too. I think it is more the memory of
that which keeps a few folks here, and not the content etc.
Oh well, enough rambling, time for bed....................
