In the best voice of the Nazi character on Laugh In
"Very interesting!"
That was Arte Johnson, and it was usually followed by "But Shtupid!"
That's the one. Laugh In was one of just a few popular programs that
made it overseas to military stations. We got hooked on it in 68, 69,
and when I was stationed in Panama in the 70s, we were pleased to find
it on Armed Forces Network. Some funny stuff. Arte as the dirty old
man with Ruth Buzi (sp) was priceless.

Ruth Buzzi, one of my favorite comedians.
She also used to make appearances on the Dean Martin celebrity roasts.
One time she walked on and said; "I'm a woman of a thousand faces!"
Dean replies; "Then why are you wearing that one?"
Buzzi beats Dean with her purse.

I had a guitar back then. I was watching one night and the Producer
of the show played Classical Gas. I don't remember if he was on screen
before or after (or at all) after the thousdan or so paintings. I
sold the guitar the following weekend. My muscial tallents extend to
playing a radio.
