Damn, I love that river. I canoed it once back in the 80's; got turned
around on an eddy line at the top of Whitehorse and ran it backwards. The
photos from shore were precious: my mouth wide open almost as big as my
eyes. I didn't dump, through.

Later that week, I was the first ever to go over Husum Falls (White Salmon
river) in an open canoe. Sure wish I had been a flyfisherman back then,
though....
