ok...time to start planning get togethers in 2008.
penns... might make that one.
montana, idaho, wyoming? something must be percolating out there...
I thought you were organizing a multi day float?
I also like IJ's idea.
i'm thinking we might even attempt a fall sal****er gathering in
november 08 to celebrate the exit of bush and the hope for saner
leadership while chasing false albacore and puppy drum at harkers
island/cape lookout.
I'd be interested in that.

i'm multi-tasking... i can't get any responses on the float thing on
the river system we talked about. everyone wants to include a
guide...no drops like you had in alaska. i've hit a dead end. need
someone on the ground out there.
if there is interest in a november false albacore, puppy drum fest...i
think i can get wally and some others interested...we need boats to do
it and i can only handle 2 others in my little craft.

jeffie: don't you think pj could drum up a couple support boats?
jerry, and the guy with the bizarre name (droozian sprinkle?)...
yfitp
wayno(makes me miss the ol' "probable cause")
maybe...but jim professes to hate false albacore fishing, and jerry
isn't able to get away for any period of time. (drouin sprinkle - annie
sprinkle's nephew g)
i spent thanksgiving down on harkers island...fished inside on
thursday...caught one nice speckled trout of about 22" just before low
tide, then walked all the sandbar flats and collected conch shells, a
few clams, and some pen shells. planned to cook em up, but got
frustrated trying to bust open the conch. did cook and eat the pen
shell meat though...not bad. nice day.
friday, the wind and waves blew up, air temp went down, and at times i
had more water spraying over the side than under the boat. yesterday,
still rough, but went out in a bigger boat with wally and one of his
friends (owner of the boat). rough, windy, cold, wet...not a good day to
try to find the schools of albies much less launch a fly at them. they
each caught one...i was skunked.
