Flatheads are released above the dam where they will probably never see
another hookbait.
I like to fish meat for flatheads for an hour before dawn, then fish
veggie-bait for carp for an hour or two.
It is not unusual to take 8-10 carp in two hours using a single rod. The
trick is to get finished before the tree-huggers (from student housing,
nearby) come 'round kicking my catch back in the river. Any civilized
state makes it illegal to release carp.
So many carp, so little time.

Near freezing here, but hoping for a warm rain Monday to attempt a
winter carp fishing adventure. I know where they are but need warm
