Sounds wonderful. How did the ice storm affect you all down there,
thought it would be too slippy to get out?
This is the time of year in Nebraska where I start daydreaming of days
like that. I would really like to go to the 11-Point again just north
of there. Right now, fly fishing here requires a chainsaw. Temp is
now 3 degrees (dropped from 7 when I came into work).

Came home after the dance, spent the night at SO's place, prepratory
to going to the Sun afternoon dance, but the weather guy revised the
forecast and said, essentially: "bend over, grab your ankles,
etc...". So I drove home while there was still light.
Lost power about 2 or 3 am and got it back about noon today. Not many
problems, as I have LP wall heat and gas logs in the fireplace. The
biggest pain is the well being unpowered, but I always have a dozen or
so gallons of water in a guest room closet.
The Ice was so lovely but now the rain is warming and the trees are
standing back up straight.
cheers
oz, who just discovered the Spring River in Sept, but plans to go back
often (except when the yuppie canoists clog the river).
P.S. I lived in Omaha from 1949 to 58, and know how the winters are.
I feel sorry for you.
