This is worth a look, Talacre is always good for Dabs but for Cod its
better to steam round to the mouth of the Mersey, just watch out for
traffic.

thanks Cliff : at the mouth of the Dee ,Talacre side ? I was thinking of
a trip we usually go out from Rhos ( Pathfinder) but if the cod are a bit
late I think after Xmas might be favourite, still I do like Talacre
theres usually something peckish about- even if its only flatties

A few at the mouth of the Dee, the boats are usually in the Mersey by now
but due to repairs to the lock gates at the marina places are limited so
most boats are staying in Rhyl. There are some strange catches about as to
seasonal fish with summer & winter coming in together but its been like
that for a few years now, had Mackerel at Xmas near Anglesey.
