um...i think i was pushed...unless that's a pretender to mutant offerings.

sage example for my "mutant" offerings this year."

I took that as a "most likely" declaration of intention; but it was
pre-signup, so I won't hold you to it if I was mistaken. *I'll pull you back
out, unless you really want in.

while those on the receiving end may prefer wayno's better-tied
procurements and offerings, i honestly try to participate in the swaps
with a personal effort appropriately labeled a miller's mutant. *tying
flies, as most other artistic or mechanical efforts, is not easy for me
and i'm inept at it. it takes a lot of time to complete those ragged-ass
things i submit. i'm currently swamped with other stuff going on.

i know i'm that goofy, awkward kid nearly every community sports team is
obliged to accept. so, just for the gawking humor offered by my
presence, i reckon i'll stay in...probably tie some kind of sal****er
streamer pattern. *so, i'm a tba.

With that kind of intro, you may shame me into getting my own tying
stuff out of mothballs, but I'm holding out 'til the deadline to
commit. If the turnout stays sparse, I should be able to crank out a
respectable fly every couple of days.

It's kind of amazing how it's a use-it-or-lose-it skill. I dusted off
the vice a few months ago for my annual salmon trip, & I couldn't even
turn out a decent egg pattern.
