Just a short report today. I posted a picture of today's biggest
silver, about 10 pounds, on abpf. It was a nice day on the Cascade,
the ice didn't melt along the shore, but the water was 40 degrees or
more, and it was pretty. I caught 4 silvers, 2 dollies, and 4 rainbow.
The silvers were the usual thing, the dollies were a treet. The big
one was 20 inches, the smaller about 14. The rainbows were the
surprise. I've fished the west side streams for 25 years now, and only
caught 1 rainbow over 12 inches, and that was 15 years ago on the NF of
the Stilly, and it was only 13.5 inches. These guys were 13 to 15
inches and football shaped. They must have been stuffed with salmon
eggs.
All the fish took single egg patterns dead drifted below a dink float.
I have to try this again tomorrow.
