Default Smith River Montana

There are several EXCELLENT rivers in central MT away from the "crowds"
of the Missoula and Yellowstone areas. Most are tribs of the MO, and I
can think of four others that run into the Yellowstone that don't get
nearly the pressure you see on the Madison, Bitterroot etc. A little
research and a few hours driving from Billings can turn into solitude
and monster browns. Watch for rattlesnakes and ticks, and make sure to
bring big streamers and hoppers.
