JT, only a dozen? :dizzy: It gets quite crowded much of the year and
it's nothing to see a lot of boat/pontoon traffic. At the same time,
there are more than enough fish to go around. Winter is the least
crowded for obvious reasons. If the weather cooperates, February
should be a good time for an outing. If you're going to be there for a
number of days, and depending on how the weather shapes up (I wouldn't
waste my money if the weather is brutal), you might consider a guided
float one day so you can cover some water.
I've no personal experience with the lodges in the area as I've never
used them during my trips to the Green. I imagine either one would be
fine but I wouldn't expect much more than a clean room and a bed. I
don't know what Denny's rooms are like but you can check out the
'Flaming Gorge Resort' (
http://tinyurl.com/2jzeak) online.
If it looks good to you, the convenience of having three meals
available onsite there might be useful. They also have suites that
appear to have kitchens in them.
Good luck.
