I have no doubt that Kerry testified to stuff that sounded
unbelievable at the time, because it *was* unbelievable that our
government would lie to us, that the war wasn't going as we were told,
that our boys in uniform could commit atrocities; but everything he
said in the Senate hearing that day was true and subsequently
validated as the facts became known. The whole swiftboating issue of
lies and distortions is far larger than we'll ever solve here with
discussion or facts; but at least one facet is thus far clear:
Kerry's televised testimony before the Senate hearing was factually
correct. He did not lie under oath at that hearing.
