Okay, April 19th is my club's "Spring Fling." Special guest this year
is Lefty Kreh. Just got a call, so this is from the Tampa Tribune:
KREH NEEDS SURGERY: Famed fly-rodder Lefty Kreh, injured in a fall
during his seminar at the Tribune's Outdoors Expo on Sunday, said his
doctors have indicated he has tendon damage in his right leg, and he
needs surgery. He said recovery time is expected to be six to eight
weeks.

"If everything goes right, I expect to be back doing my seminars by
late spring or early summer," the 83-year-old Kreh said.

Hmm, he's not making the Spring Fling. Time to start cogitating. Any
ideas. Serious ones? This is our club's biggest fund raiser of the
year.

Bernard "Lefty" Kreh,
He's getting up there in age, but still has a great sense of humor.
When I saw him at the ISE show two years ago, he joked saying;
"When I was young I used to volunteer my services to do shows,
then they asked me to do show, now they pay me the big bucks
to do shows....sure took me a long time to get there!"
