gas prices

Gas prices changed my fishing habits late last summer. I fish 3 lakes 30
minutes from home and because of gas prices I went back to fishing the
Ohio river. From the time I pull out of the driveway to the time I'm in
water is maybe 5 minutes .Unless something changes I'm looking at a year
of river fishing. It costs me around 30.00 or more a trip last year to
fish a lake[ 2001 champion /w 150 Mercury] and I fish every day . Kinda
expensive on a retirement income.

lurk here some and just wondering how the high gas prices have or will
change your fishing habits?
Could not believe the prices this week. Just got back from a month in Costa
Rica and was paying about $3.76 / gallon for premium and come back to $4.12
diesel and $3.57 regular. I do have to fill up the truck a couple times
next week as have to drive a 150 miles each way to pick the boat up from
repair in Yuba City and then drive to Los Angeles area for Easter with the
kids.
