Lunar Eclipse tonight for those of you with clear skies. We get
totality,
can't speak for you guys in more northerly latitudes. Complete at around
8:30 PM.
Considering the amount of howling I've seen cross my monitor today, the
full
moon factor is in full effect.

Have spent the last hour and a half watching it approach totality!
Fantastic!
Probably the best I've ever seen. Viewed through binocs it is even better.

I've stepped out to look several times in the last couple of hours. At
totality (or what looked like if from here, anyway) it had a decidedly
orange cast to it.....something like looking at the setting sun through
smoke, though much fainter, of course. Sort of a translunar sunset. Made
me wonder what the view from up there back toward here might be like.
Maybe we should have a Loonie clave some day.
