I caught my first trout on a fly rod in the Yellowstone river not far above
Chittenden Bridge in August of 1971. I fly fish between 100 and 150
days/year.

Are you serious?! First things first - I don't care what anyone else
responds, I'm dead serious, I mean exactly what I ask and I'm honestly
asking:

Doesn't that get boring? I can't imagine spending that much of my life
doing any _one_ type of thing. OTOH, do you simply mean that on at
least 100 or so days a year for the last coupla-few years, you've
probably made at least one cast, or do you actually mean that you've
spent that many days _flyfishing_?

I'm still waiting to, totally, "get beyond wind knots" ....
good luck G

OK, now here's where I get lost - if I spent that much time doing
_anything_, - I mean that's something around 4000 days, or, over 10
****in' years, of solid FFing - I'd be a pro who could do it in my sleep
- which is why I'd never enjoy doing such. Obviously, your mileage DOES
vary, but still, I'm curious.

TIA,
R
