thanks dave...took your advice and that of some others about getting
another dog, so we take delivery of a puppy on august 15. another
golden. we'll be busy with all the fun and problems of newpuppy stuff
for a while.

last time wayno and i tried to visit lakewood was 9/11. indian joe and
i made our bizarre van journey from baltimore when air traffic was
grounded, while wayno discovered the pleasures of cleveland. pj, who was
supposed to come along, severed his achilles tendon and had to cancel.
lord knows what might happen if rachel is added to the tar heel
contingent visiting (or attempting to visit)lakewood. still...it is one
of those special places. very relaxing, great fishing...some of the
last all-night sleeping i have had.
