Maybe its less than serendipitous, but I've got a free day here in
Southern Connecticut (Clinton, near New Haven) and could use some
insights of a good spot to fish for a half-day later this week before
I fly back to Hong Kong.

Anyone know the turf?

lived in CT for a few years......The nearest stream to fish is the
Housatonic. It is fed by a bottom-release dam, and probably has the best
August water temps you could hope for.

Tom,

I think you have the Housatonic confused with the Farmington. There is
good smallmouth fishing in the Housy in August, but the only trout
fishing I can think of would be in the Farmington.
