I see that Sage is discontinuing the FLi series in 2009. These
are now on clearance sale at a lot of places and they run in
the $200 to $250 range.

Has anyone used one of these ? Good things to say, bad things ?

I have the 2pc 7' 3-wt. It has become my main trout rod. The rod and I spent
about 25 days on streams this summer, and I think it's about perfect for the
water I fish. The action is perhaps a little speedier than I might normally
prefer, but that speedyness allows it to toss small weighted nymphs as
nicely as it does a small caddis on 5x. I have mine paired up with an Orvi$
BBS 1, making the total weight miniscule.

Nothing bad to say about the rod, except that I wish it were a 4-piece for
better packability.
