Mike You will not win any popularity contests - ever - However you are
correct , unfortunately, in your comments.

Lets hope Obama does pull out of Iraq (I could give a rats ass about whether
their gov't is stable or not)
Perhaps Obama could even divert the impending war in Iran
However I do not think that he has the power to do either as the military
industrial complex - armament mfrs a & few intentional corporations &
families own the world and the American Prez is really a figurehead

I hope that I am wrong and that we do see change but I would also not be
surprised if Obama is assassinated
The US ( a violent country) is not ready for a black man to lead them.

Again I hope that I am wrong and if so I for one, would dance in the
streets, if we became truly a gout of and for the people
It has never been so in my lifetime and we have never been further away than
now
The last administration were openly overt, greedy, warmongers , profiteers
and crooks

I would like to see the federal gov't spending our billions of tax $$ here
on US citizens instead of bombing the desert making Raytheon and KBR etc
wealthy

I can control myself but honestly I have little hope for the nation
collectively
I am skeptical about a country that idolizes rock stars and baseball players
making untold millions
I have little hope for the collective consciousness of the US people
watching American Idol, Survivor and its untold # of spin offs and other
**** like that.

Yet I did see a ray of hope in this landslide
I think that the results were as repudiation of the last 8 yrs of assholes
running this country as it was a cry loud and clear for change!

It is time for a change and I (still at this point an American citizen) am
ready for it.
