Looking at meeting in Ulaanbaatar around June 18, and departing around
10 days later. You considering it? :-)
If we can get a trip of just flyfishers, then there's no 'social
pressure' to make river miles, etc, and we can fish the river pretty
intensely.
Me: Ya know, a trip to Mongolia would be nice.
Wife: Mongolia ? What's in Mongolia ?
Me: Trout. BIG trout.
Wife: Oh for ... I should have known. Forget about it.
My bride, however, said she'd love for me to go. *"Here are the
insurance forms, sign here and here. *Here's one stating that if I
need to bail you out of some third world jail, you'll be happy to sit
there and rot. *Another one that says if you bring home some weird
communicable disease, you authorize me to euthanize you with a rusty
spoon. *Oh, what was that? *Oh, don't worry silly, the insurance gives
double indemnity if you die by a rusty spoon."

You don't get outside the US much, do you? :-)
Really, despite the name and images of Ghengis Khan and his hordes,
Mongolia is both extremely tame and extremely beautiful. Imagine
Alaska without the crowds.
