Another guy I know contacted them about one of their 'stories'. *He
provided them with a contact in the business they were talking about,
complete with phone numbers. *Came back a week later, their story had
changed just a bit and referenced a 'source' in the company, but, when
my buddy talked to his friend in the company, he found out snopes had
never contacted him, nor anyone else in upper management. *So snopes

You're assuming that your buddy was the only feeder source they had,
or that your buddies friend knew with certaintly if Snopes had
contacted anyone anywhere else anywhere in the company. Also, "a
buddies friend" is a rather distant source....and you never did
discuss whether or not the original story was true or not. Give us
more details.
