Hi Friends,
* * *Thought I would share this funny video with you. * Hope you enjoy
it. *http://www.funnyfx.com/video/47/Man-...ing-Torch.html
Here's the deal. . . you need to say who you are or your stay here
will not be as pleasant as I am sure you would want. A name, a place,
where you fish, not a lot but more than "webresponse4325" at freaken
gmail.
This is the third time you've been given a polite clue. How about a
name?
....clue bat....where did I leave that damn thing.....

Hi Riverman,
* *Please forgive me.. I'm very new at this group thing. * *Still
learning
how to post. * *Thanks for the polite clue. * I appreciate it. * Now,
a little about myself. * I love to fish and
my parents own two fresh water lakes. *They have one in front of their
house and in the back of their house.
Great waterfront property. * I grew up there and went fishing all of
the time. * I still have access to these two lakes and love to
fly fish and *we use to go trot line fishing in the middle of the
night. * *Anyway, *Sorry about the introduction part. *By the way
my name is Lisa.
PS *I use to go on the river and fish to. *Boat landings are all
around me.- Hide quoted text -

Well, Lisa (or should I say webresponse4325), welcome to the nut
house.
Being a newbie, I suggest that you grow a slightly thick skin around
here....folks tend to be pretty easygoing about 'information' posts,
but as soon as you offer an opinion on anything, be prepared for some
backlash...usually without restraint.
You should probably plan on lurking (reading from the shadows) for a
bit before getting too involved...the usual misstep is to come in and
take a strong stance on some sort of debate, then get chewed up in the
crossfire. Folks here love crossfire. The better plan is to meekly
acquiesce to everyone, while secretly keeping a rollodex of who seems
to be a friend and who seems to be malicious, then ignoring the posts
of the malicious folks. Then you and the other two people can have all
sorts of interesting conversations.
For the record, topics that are strictly off-limits for newbies a
1) Why everyone refers to Charlie Choc as '**** You Choc'
2) Whether or not Clinton was good or bad
3) If someone is technically obligated to buy the right kind of gas
when they are bumming a ride to a clave
4) Whether or not the war in Iraq, Afghanistan, Gaza, Northen Ireland
or (insert country name here) is legitimate or necessary
5) If boiling leaders to straighten them is recommended
6) Anything about homophobia
7) Anything about New Jersey Fly fishers
8) The tax code for expat workers
On the other hand, if you have any expertise on any of these topics,
you will be well received:
1) Facebook
2) Single Malt whisky
3) Bamboo rods
4) clever new acronyms
5) the location of Fawn Lake
6) the definition of 'anonymous'
Good luck figuring this place out. Welcome aboard.
