Enjoyed you back and forth banter. I went to the Richmond Bass show at the
racetrack yesterday. I was looking at jigs, one that struck my fancy was a
hand tied with wire holding the rubber skirt on, he tied it to a piece of
line and dunked it in a fish tank, it looked real nice the way it worked I'd
have bought a few if I had taken more cash (self control) and he was asking
$7.99 a pop. Tell your buds they're getting a sweet deal!

I'ld be happy to entertain you with the wiles of my chase yesterday at
the Yuma Pro Am season opener, but alas... the only reason I didn't
blank is pure stubborness. I just kept chunking and winding until I
finally boated a keeper about 5 minutes before weigh in.

Sounds like spring fishing isn't much different in your neck of the woods
either. Sometimes it's mid May before the bite really starts coming on
strong around here. It's hard fishing for most people with a slow bite
going on. It lulls you into a monotony that leaves you almost numb and
asleep. When you finally do get a bite sometimes I miss it. Takes allot of
concentration to catch fish in those situations. So did that fish net you
in a paid spot in the standings ? Last spring I caught 1 fish that weighed
2' 4" and beat a guy out of fifth place by an ounce and won $50. Sometimes
you remember those stories better than the big ones ! Best of luck on
the
next one........
Take care, David
