After my bride suggested I go fishing today, I took a pleasant drive
through the green California foothills to get first to the M... River
which proved too high and muddy, then looped around another 10 miles back
towards home to the T ... River. There I found a very sparse baetis
hatch and one spot with a few, sporadic, risers. I caught a single, but
lovely, rainbow trout. I didn't even try for more, choosing to relish
the one, my good fortune getting to meet him, and a short walk along the
water, afterwards. He was quite the gentleman, gingerly sipping a
TrustyMusky floating in the film, then fighting in the spirited manner one
expects from a wild trout. He measured right at 14"

I won't mention that I did all this in shirt sleeves and at some risk of
getting sunburn, out of respect for those of you living through blizzards
and ice storms G

Where did you look at the T river? Next trip is to a Jetboat run on the
Rogue, and thinking of a few steelhead. Did look beautiful today. But
since I have class on Wed and Thursday can not do the fishing thing then.
Did look at Shadow Cliffs on the way home and thinking of taking the float
tube to the ponds. Starting a new class in Art welding on Wed and the
guitar class on Thursday seems to be not as good as the lower level class I
took last semester. I at least take advantage of my tax dollars for the
junior college system.
