Barack Obama has announced that the withdrawal of Daschle and Killefer
from
consideration doesn't worry him one bit...
"I have already spoken to both Willie Nelson and Wesley Snipes, and both
ready
to step in, step up and serve the nation...," the President said a press
conference.

...I suppose the US taxpayer ought to be glad that Al Capone is dead...
I am glad that both are out of the picture. Obama is finding(and this is a
good thing) that the concept of a better type of government is a high moral
bar,
Um, he is just now finding THAT?! I sorta figured, at least to hear him and the
FOO (Friends Of Obama) fighters tell it while he was running for Prez, that he
not only had the easy **** like that figured out, but all of the hard ****,
too...
and that folks DO expect him to clear it.
Maybe they can start by jumping over Timmy Geithner's housekeeper...just sort of
as a training session...you know, little hurdles before big leaps...
Actually, my real issue with
Daschle wasn't the tax thing(although that reeks of stupid), but the idea
that he got bucks for consultation work with the healthcare industry.
Well, to be fair, maybe when Obama nominated him, he thought Daschle hadn't been
doing anything but riding around in a loaned limo since leaving Congress...
I really don't want to see the reform of the US healthcare system from someone
partially in the pocket of one side or the other.
You start to get to wondering, though, does anyone down there pay their
freaking taxes??
Well, sure...but I'm pretty sure that Obama won't be appointing very many
wealthy Republican supporters to his cabinet...
