I've never looked to see if it's compatible with Macs (or PCs, for that
matter), but my ETrex was about 100 bucks 5 years ago. Simple and effective
enough for me.

Thanks Dan, and thanks to all who had suggestions. Every single person
recommended some model of Garmin. It is extremely rare when roff reaches
a consensus and damn near unprecedented when roff is unanimous ! ;-)
