My experience is that you'll find plenty of good fishing, just about
anywhere in that general area. Exception is that the higher you go the
more the streams become dirty from glacial silt .... be prepared to fish
lakes, big to little and you'll have a great time
If you haven't done Glacier NP and the Canadian Parks and the Yellowhead
highway ... the area is 'must see' imho.
I don't like big destination regions; I was pretty turned off by the
hordes at the San Juan, and I have no interest in hitting well-known
venues.
Only thing that pops into my mind is that THIS year may be the one to visit
such places, if you ever intend to. Even last summer saw tourist business
in some places off 40% from previous traffic ( reliable sources from Ennis
area ) ... less people will be traveling now than in past, perceived, times
of plenty The crowded areas will still have crowds, just not terrible
crowds, I'd guess.
