at least you're honest enough to notice that you REALLY shouldn't be casting
stones at other state's governors.....
Still, Jindal got thrown to the wolves by his own party last night. He's not
as dim as that presentation came off, as noted by Brooks. It will be
interesting to see how he fares at dealing with an upcoming budget shortfall
in his home state, and the idea of some of the Palin wing cozying up to an
Indian-American Catholic seems dubious, at best.
My take differs.
First, my guess is that Jindal is about as silly as the ideas he
presents. It wasn't just that smirking look of his; it was the ideas
he presented in the face of the national and world situation. His
IDEAS show that at best he is willing to look like a fool, to impress
the milling malignant base of his party. It was like a public self
mutilation by an Ottoman functionary. ...
Exactly. Either the guy is dumber than a box of rocks and really
believes that old Reaganista bromide about the government being
the problem or he's just another ruthless, soulless practitioner
of the A****er GOP's southern strategy. The guy *was* a Rhodes
scholar so my money is on the latter.

Never said the guy was stupid, just not very effective, and far from
presidential. I saw him with one of the talking heads on Sunday
morning, and I couldn't believe that he was being touted as candidate
in 2012. Just spewing the same tired policies that haven't worked. As
to his being a Rhodes Scholar...all that thar book learnin' don't
always translate into street smarts.
