Default Sorta not OT ... new FullReid danger

My new truck is the first vehicle I've ever had with the silly remote locks

My wife came up with the idea, that since while fishing I unintentionally
immerse myself a couple times a week in some hat floating version of the
FullReid that my new KEY is in danger ... ( I've ruined a couple cell
phones ) ..... anybody know if there is any truth to this? she admits that
she just made it up, but it seems it could be true?

Do I need to find some sort of waterproof key container ?

I don't know if a dunking will ruin your fancy shmancy key but
why risk it ? I never take my car squonker with me when I go
fishing, I hide it on the car. There are numerous places you
can hide your "key", use your imagination.
