I hadn't heard about this, but assuming the basic facts you present are
accurate, yeah, it is more amateurish stuff. Outrage me? Hardly. But WTF is
he (and/or his people) thinking? Why not just go to a shelter, pick out a
fairly attractive, healthy puppy and be done with it instead of this?
I'm no mind reader but I believe Obama is thinking "I'm gonna
get the most suitable dog I can find for my situation and my
family and screw the rest." If that's amateurish then it sure
is refreshing to have an amateur in the White House.

Hmmm..."screw the rest"...? What "rest" would that be? ...

The inevitable criticism no matter what he does. If he picks
a shelter mutt the AKC is ****ed, if he picks a purebred the
Humane Society is ****ed and whichever pick he makes will be
the wrong pick with Rick Bean Deancounter. So screw all that,
make the best pick for the family and ignore the nonsense.

Same thing - if he and his family had kept quiet about it and just picked a
church ...

I haven't heard a single peep out of anyone in Obama's White
House about the family's choice or lack of a choice outside of
giving non-answers to questions from a curious press. But
wherever they show up tomorrow morning it will be the wrong place
according to Rick Bean Deancounter.

(We at the tee-hee desk don't know yet which church those idiots picked,
only that it will be the wrong one.)

See, that's the thing - I don't believe he's an idiot - in fact, I am certain he
is a very _intelligent_ guy. But again, "intelligent" is not the issue. It's
experience, common sense, and he and his staff being "smart" (or, "savvy," if
you prefer). And _his_ picking some dog from Kennedy's breeder is not "smart"
or "savvy."

Nothing the Obama administration does, or could do, would be smart
or savvy in your twisted view. You're a rabid anti-Obama partisan
just like your doppelganger beancounter.
