Perhaps we will avoid drought condittions and still be fishing in August

Thanks for the info, Fred. I called West Yellowstone this morning and
got a real 'wait and see' prediction for the Montana and Park openers ... IF
the weather stays cool ... should be OK ... IF it turns pretty warm ..
likely to be muddy rivers

August is always a tough month. Seems nearly everywhere is 'peak time' in
June/July ... Sept/Oct but it's hard to find real quality in August

Does your area have good fishing at that time? I'm thinking about the
Missoula area, Rock Creek, Thompson, for this August ... at least you can
find a shady place to camp in a canyon, from what I hear. I'm also
thinking about the Crowsnest/ Bow as potential eighth month heat beating
fish catching opportunities. I've never fished the Blackfoot Lakes, but
August has got to be HOT, WINDY, and Slow fishing, I'd think.

Larry L ( the best consistent August dry fly fishing I know of is Hebgen
Lake callibaetis gulpers ... there are some good August trico places too,
but they tend to be way crowded and toodamnhot )
