Default possible virus attack--please help

Long time lurker, and GSO resident surfaces.

Yes, it's a virus. Call 272-2999 (Computer Consignment), ask for Steve.
Unhook the CPU and take only it to his shop. You'll get it back in 24-36
hours with the problem fixed and instruction on how not to let it happen
again. 50-75 bucks depending on how hard it is to get at.

Cheap for a Tar Heel and a barrister................

BTW, if you are networked the problem may have spread...........

hey, i am being bombarded by popups hawking "spyware protect 2009
alert" purporting to warn me of an "infiltration alert", asking me to
click on "yes" to "block this attack", and accompanied by a "windows
security alert" that contains grammatical errors.

anybody know how to deal with this?
