one of the lakes in yellowstone has that floating mat stuff. joe and i
walked out on it before we knew what it was. the bouncy, waterbed-like
feel was too spooky. i had no idea what it was at the time, and we got
the hell off, but the rising fish beckoned us to walk across it. no
rises anywhere else, and the only way to get a cast required crossing
over that dangerous stuff. you don't reckon...?? nah...
