FWIW, Clarksdale is the "Home of the Blues," where "the crossroads" are (where
State Highways 61 and 49 merge), etc., and while it, too, has become more, um,
tourist-y over the years, not as much as Greenville, IMO. To me, Greenville is
more a couples/bed-n-breakfast/The Alluvian kinda place, whereas Clarksdale is
more a tamales-n-Jack Black outta the bottle kind of place, but there's just not
a lot of "juke joint" kinda places _in_ either town (and really, there never
were _in the towns_ per se). If you think about it, with what a "juke joint"
really is, there would be no reason for a bunch of them to be in town. Now, if
you're talking about all of Coahoma County, that's a different matter.
