You should avoid pure Agquastealth soled wading boots if the areas you wade are at all slick. That
said, I am extremely satisfied with my STUDDED Simms Aquastealth Fishing Guide boots. They are the
best wading boots I have ever had, and are still going strong after two years of very heavy use. I
expect to get at least 4 years out of them. I am very hard on wading boots and have rarely had any
other boots last more than a season and a half (I'm not just talking soles wearing out, but stitching
breaking and/or holes worn in the shoe itself). The addition of studs to the Aquastealth sole makes
for excellent traction.
The only drawback - you won't be welcome to wear them most people's drift boats .
I just bought some studded Aquastealths on Bruiser's rec. I'm glad to
hear another happy user. I was a bit skeptical. Hope I like them as much
as you guys. Will give them a workout on the Juan in a couple of days.
