This time of year there are generally more hunters that fisherman. A buddy

of mine was archery hunting Hoodoo Pass, not far as the crow flies from

location. They took two elk, figured they has about 39 miles on foot
packing
the game out. Despite the temps in the 80's they managed to recover all
the
meat with no loss. I can't imagine in that heat...

Sam and I had a good year fishing despite the near 800 mile distance
between
our daily posts. We had the opportunity to spend time on the Bitterroot,
ClarkFork, Green River, South Fork or the Snake, Henry's Fork, Henry's
Lake,
Kelly Creek, and North Fork of the Clearwater. He's a great friend, cuz
and
fishing buddy.
I hope to get in a couple steelhead trips before years end... Looking
forward to 2010...
