Burden?

Dave
Now post a link per stream flow data for Wisconsin, . . . more than
the Fed data if possible.

Don't have any links to stream flow data in Wisconsin. *I think I may
have had something for the middle branch of the Ontonagon River (U.P.,
not Wisconsin) some years ago when I learned about a controversy about
diverting the water, but those disappeared along time ago. *Nothing
else. *The thing is, generally, stream flow is not much of an issue in
this part of the world. *There's oodles of water everywhere around
here. *In fact, it's kind of hard to find a dry spot to sit on in
Michigan or Wisconsin. *Not much reason to fight over water......not
much reason to be obsessed with stream flow data. *Quite naturally,
this abundance of water here has led to a burgeoning of water
intensive enterprises, unlike places where a relative dearth of water
has led, quite unnaturally, to a burgeoning of water intensive
enterprises.....and a concommitant obsession with stream flow data.
Well, that's what ya get when EVERYBODY wants ALL of the paltry supply
of water, ainna? *I mean, ya might as well try agribusiness in a
****in' desert, eh?

Yeah sure. Near as I can tell most of those cute little rivers ya got
there never flood,

Well, you're wrong again. Flooding is not at all uncommon around
here.

unless there is some federal disaster money around
to scam.

Ooh! Catty! Never looked at the data closely, but I don't think
Wisconsin ranks really high on the federal disaster tit list.

Anyway I always get a kick at those stream structures you
folk like to build on trout streams. Reminds me of Boy Scouts and the
pole and rope fun we used to have. Keep up the effort.

Oh yeah? You poopy faced snot! HAH!

Well then, it would seem that with such natural advantages in your
aquarian State, and such a clear and simple personal understanding of
agribusiness, western water policy, and so much more, you could have
an incredible career as a motivational speaker in Midwestern farm
circles. My guess is that you could also probably put the Wisconsin
Fish agencies straight on why they have so much difficulty with
natural repro, huh? Stream flows not an issue huh?

Has it ever occurred to you that if you learned to master the
rudiments of arithmetic you wouldn't have to launch into these
periodic grade school snits? Is it MY fault you can't add, subtract,
multiply and divide? Am I responsible for your failure to distinguish
between a period and a comma? Have I ever claimed to have managed a
municipal water supply? Did MY ancestors ever save
civilization.....single-handedly.....innumerable times?

While you are at it maybe you could be a catalyst in reducing
Wisconsin's use of Western coal-fired dirty power production.

I do occasionally make mention of a viable alternative in these
pages. Mostly, it doesn't generate much informed or interesting
discussion. Hm.....maybe if your ancestors were Dutch.....?

Like
maybe folks need to learn to turn off some of those lights we see so
clearly in the satellite pix?

That sounds like a pretty good idea to me. Got any good light
pollution links to share?

And that Forest Service lab those nasty
politicians have managed to retain in Wisconsin, despite the fact that
most of the real forestry research needs are in the West and the
South?

Really? How do you keep score?

Go tell them that they don't need to cling to those hundreds of
feather-bedded jobs, why there is a future for them in, wait for
it . . . Wisconsin Agriculture.

Actually, I've never considred myself a very strong or convincing
advocate of agriculture. I thought I had made that pretty clear.

Be their leader. Hooray. Come out West
and be our King and start your own religion.

That's been done to death.

Seriously Wolfgang, In my own limited way I have skin in the game,
real land, real water, real money.

See, that's your trouble. You should be like the rest of us. Just
eat the stuff that comes from the supermarkets. No dirt, no muss, no
fuss.

cue patriotic music

I have made decisions and
investments and done work that is motivated by my desire to make an
actual contribution to a healthy river environment. Different
decisions could easily make more money.

fade patriotic music

But the choices ive made make
me feel good,

Well, good for you.

and produce a reasonable return.

Ah!

Why not go find more things that make you feel good,

You'd be amazed at what makes me feel good.

and cut back on the snippity? I myself am a great example of moderation you could
learn much from.

Would you agree to a paternity test on the spittle on my screen?

Sucks when people actually read and pay attention to what you write,
