Yesterday I watched a BBC documentary about Yellowstone. It was part 1/3
and only considered wintertime, but it still reminded me that the park
and its wildlife are astonishing.

With images of the area fresh in mind I am sad to say that at this point
I will *not* commit to "Western clave 2010." While the situation might
change later - if we as a group decide to fish some remote place
together - I doubt that it will happen. Assuming that I will take this
road trip on my own, I have decided to maximize fishing time, limit
costs and stay in a relatively familiar and safe area. In practice this
means flying to Sweden, renting a car for a couple of weeks, fishing for
grayling, trout and charr in northern Sweden and Norway, and sleeping in
my comfortable tent.

Thanks to all who tried to make the trip happen. The good news is that
with next summer's trip cancelled, the guys are still saving money every
month for "the big trip". Maybe it will take place in 2011.
