Yeah, something like that......
Basically, the message is "We're mad as hell, and we're not going to
take it any more!" The people of MA are ****ed off. Unless things
change drastically in the next few months, Coakely will be gone along
with Gov. Patrick, in November. Kerry's senate seat is not secure,
either. I just hope that Obama gets the message and doesn't blame the
loss on Coakley's arrogance and inept campaign.
In an interview last night, Howard Dean said he felt that there should
be no vote taken on health care until Brown is seated. I think that is
a wise course of action, if the Democrats want to hold on to their
majority in the mid term elections. The sentiment across the country
seems to be much the same as it is in MA, and any further back room
deals, or other shenanigans will be accomplished at their peril.
Funny thing is, a while back the governors here appointed replacement
senators and representatives to complete unfinished terms. We had a
string of Republican governors, so the Dems pushed through legislation
requiring special elections, because they felt they could put up any
hack as a candidate, and election would be automatic. Not any more!
The last time this situation occurred, Nicci Tsongas , a Democrat, was
seated two days after election. Let's see what happens here.
