Not on the 'Net. The convention on the 'Net, as in many real life
areas, is that the person making a statement is the one who has to
provide the evidence. If I post that 2 + 2 = 5, it's not up to my
critics to provide evidence that I am incorrect. They can merely
state it to be contrary to general arithmetic. It is up to me to do
the proof of my statement. If I can't quickly pop up with a different
brand of math, _and_ apologize for not having mentioned it in my
original post, that proves 2 + 2 = 5, I'd best just slink off quietly
into the darkest corner of trolldom.
