I bought myself a new Hat Eyes yesterday. * *I intend to put it on the

The last one I had I lost this way. * *It was a cold, rainy, day and
apparently bulky clothes and an unused hood of a rain jacket under the

Anybody come up with any clever way to add security to the clip-on
mounting of a Hat Eyes? * Or somehow stiffen the mounting on a Tilley
to limit flop?
I've written to Tilley about this with no response. *Try drilling a
small, pin sized hole through the clip and put a pin (with a backer)
through it. *Girl friends old ear ring that she's lost the mate to
will also work. *Just don't tell your bride.
I was also looking at dipping the front of the brim in starch, mold it
to shape, let it dry and then spraying it with a fabric seal (scotch
guard). *Haven't tried it yet.
