There are no Orcas on that coast. Plenty of Great White Sharks,
though.
I beg to differ. Great pods in the Puget Sound and I've also seen
them in Monterey Bay.
Frank Reid
Puget Sound?? Monterey Bay?? I thought we were talking about Southern
San
Francisco Bay.
BTW, Orca attacks on humans in the wild are unheard of as far as I know.
Great White attacks, however, are pretty common on the coast around San
Francisco, but you have more chance of being swept to your death by a
freak wave.
I've fished for surf perch with spinning and bait-casting gear and
caught
a few. It's not that great, to be honest. Can't imagine doing it with
fly
tackle. OK, I can imagine it, but I can't imagine being successful.
Tight
lines, anyway.

Cut "to the chase" for my email address.
Some how I don't think Frank will mind if it's an Orca or a Great White as
bystanders see him salt water skiing of into the distance hooked onto a
the
"Fish Of His Life."
Hope your patterns are good and the weather fine.
An Orca would be fine as its illegal to fish for whales in Nebraska
(really, its on the books).
Frank Reid
You could fish for Orcas in NE as they ar not whales. *They are dolphins.
I think the law says cetaceans.
