Saturday, I figured, I repeat the process. Get there early and toss
SJ worms. I lost one fairly small brown and got a 14 inch sucker to

Pink San Juan worms was for naught. But then I switched to a beetle
with a scud about 10 inches off the back. Bam! I got a 12 incher
then a 16 incher. My day, no, my weekend was made! But 15 minutes
later I caught and brought to net a 20 incher! A 20 incher! I
thought my 5 x tippet might break but I held onto my 9 foot 3-weight
for dear life and got him in the net. “Three weight” you might ask?
I thought I was going to be casting size-24 tricos but they never
materialized. What a day! What a weekend.

Hi Gene,

Awsome! Sounds like you had a blast.

What kind of trout did you catch? And how deep were you drifting?

I do believe some grinnin' and strutting are called for. :-)
