Some friends and I once grew a batch that went upwards of 24 inches in
length and 7 in diameter at the fat end. *Never weighed one, but I
suspect that some got up to five pounds or more. *We gave them to
anyone who stopped by for a visit. *After a while they stopped
visiting.

That's a great tactic! I can see the infomercials now.
