Is it a fad???
I'm in rehab right now from a left hip replacemant done on 11/10/10.
Doing well. Aiming to do the right hip next fall.
It's not a fad!!!
It just demonstrates the median age of ROFF members is 107.
Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.
Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy New year.

Two's the magic number. How's the rehab going? What's the toughest
part? They have decent meds for the pain? ;+)

Dave

Rehab going good.
It's all tough - you just have to stick with it and before you notice
your walking with the walker and then your walking with just the cane
and then your walking on your own two legs. *I'm at the cane stage
right now - not totally but part of the day.
It's been 30 days from surgery. *I'm quite satisfied with my progress.
They have lots of good pain killers. Everyones pain tolerance is
different... what's good for me may not be good for someone else.
My goal...I'll be fishing @ the Clave.

Way to go Joel. Recovery is a good place for the "battle mode."
Swimming is good for recovering. IMHO "acceptance" is better AFTER
after one pushes the limits of recovery.

Losing mobility I think is the scariest prospect in aging, maybe worse
than altzhiemers ? Who knows. Anyway I would rather loose an arm than
a leg. Or losing 2 arms and a Johnson, but hey, with mobility and a
proper jaw appliance it might still be possible to fish. :++)) Hang in
there.
